Alfaro Family Vineyards

In 1998 a old apple farm in Corralitos, at the southern end of the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation, was lovingly transformed into Alfaro Family Vineyards by owners Richard and Mary Kay Alfaro. Today there are a total of 38 acres under vine, with 8 of the acres being CCOF certified organic. The plantings are made up of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot and Gruner Veltliner. All of the production occurs in house so the grapes take a very short trip from vineyard to bottle.
Two of the vineyards are named after the Alfaro's teenage children, Lindsay Paige and Ryan Spencer who often help out during production and at special events. Wife Mary Kay, a certified sommelier, assists vigneron Richard while running the office, managing the tasting room (open Saturdays 12 - 5 pm) and handling the needs of their growing wine club. All in all, Alfaro Family Vineyards is truly a family affair! We invite you to visit our tasting room and bring a picnic to enjoy on our deck overlooking the vines.
